Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Phoenix, Arizona, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart’s vision, mission, values, and strategy. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and outstanding customer service in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; address concerns promptly.
- Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Serve as subject matter expert, educating associates and recognizing contributions.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and follow policies.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
