Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Plano, TX, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive reinforcement training via PetSmart's proven curriculum. Actively promote classes, ensure safety, and drive sales while fostering a welcoming store environment. This dynamic role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to make pawsitive impacts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead in-person, phone, and online training sessions, managing pet parent experiences and outcomes.
• Proactively sell classes, educate on curriculum benefits, and recommend merchandise/services.
• Maintain paperwork, schedules, and a clean/safe training area; handle sick/injured pets promptly.
• Train store associates as subject matter expert and recognize sales contributions.
• Assist other departments, follow policies, and participate in recognition culture.

Experience & Skills

Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Excel with strong communication, organization, composure under pressure, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs amid pet hair/noise. Depth perception and animal handling essential.
