Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and drives sales while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategy. Based in Ponce, Puerto Rico, you'll engage pets and owners in-store, online, or by phone, ensuring safe, fun environments that promote pet well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences and resolve concerns via phone, in-person, or online.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes per company guidelines.
• Educate on full training curriculum benefits and serve as store subject matter expert.
• Maintain paperwork, cleanliness, and safety in training areas; handle sick/injured pets promptly.
• Recommend merchandise/services, assist other departments, and recognize team contributions.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
