Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Port Coquitlam, BC, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and excellence in every interaction. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to empower pets and families.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedules, and clean environments.
• Ensure safety for classes and store; handle sick/injured pets including vet transport.
• Collaborate across departments, recommend merchandise, and recognize team contributions.

Experience & Skills

Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure essential. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a dynamic store environment.
