Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences using our proven curriculum. You'll engage pet parents, sell classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success while working flexibly across evenings, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, addressing concerns promptly.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes while educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, cleanliness, and a safe environment for pets and people.
• Serve as training expert, recognizing associates and recommending merchandise/services.
• Handle sick/injured pets, assist other departments, and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs are essential. Exposure to animals, moderate noise, and wet environments is common.
