Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision. Actively promote classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage pet parents via phone, in-person, or online to drive training sales and outcomes.
- Educate on curriculum benefits and maintain all related paperwork/scheduling.
- Create safe, clean training spaces; handle sick/injured pets promptly.
- Recommend merchandise/services and assist other departments as needed.
- Recognize team contributions and follow company policies.
Experience & Skills
Requires 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, pressure-handling, schedule flexibility, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in moderate-noise settings.
