Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, and values. You'll promote our proven curriculum, ensure safety, and drive sales to help pets thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
- Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain accurate paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean and safe.
- Serve as training expert for store associates and recognize their sales contributions.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and schedule flexibility are essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and exposure to pets and moderate noise.
