Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Raleigh, NC, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote classes, ensure safety, and drive sales while fostering a welcoming store environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Sell training classes across channels and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
- Recognize team contributions and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Requires 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, pressure-handling ability, flexible scheduling, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a dynamic environment.
