Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success in a dynamic retail environment with live animals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pet training services following PetSmart curriculum and manage pet parent interactions.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes while educating on benefits.
• Maintain clean, safe training areas and handle paperwork accurately.
• Recognize team contributions, assist other departments, and respond to pet health emergencies.
• Follow all company policies, recommend merchandise, and foster a welcoming store atmosphere.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and schedule flexibility are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
