Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Rancho Cordova, CA, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering expert training per our proven curriculum. Accredited instructors like you drive positive outcomes, sell classes, and ensure safe, welcoming environments while contributing to store success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; address concerns promptly.
- Actively promote and sell training classes across channels; educate on full curriculum benefits.
- Maintain records, schedule sessions, and uphold cleanliness/safety in training areas.
- Respond to pet health issues, transport to vets as needed, and cross-sell merchandise/services.
- Train associates as subject matter expert and recognize contributions to training sales.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail/customer service experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Must excel in communication, organization, composure under pressure, and physical demands like lifting 50+ lbs amid pets and moderate noise.
