Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments. This dynamic role combines animal expertise, sales, and customer service in a fun, pet-filled setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training sessions following PetSmart curriculum, prioritizing pet parent satisfaction and outcomes.
• Actively promote and sell training packages across channels while addressing concerns.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, schedules, and training areas; respond to pet health issues promptly.
• Educate store associates as the pet training expert and assist other departments as needed.
• Champion safety, cleanliness, and company policies while participating in recognition programs.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure are essential. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and handling live animals in a moderate-noise environment.
