Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, values, and strategy. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety, cleanliness, and exceptional service in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and schedules per company standards.
• Create safe class environments; clean training areas and respond to sick/injured pets, including vet transport if needed.
• Educate store associates as pet training expert; recognize sales contributions.
• Recommend merchandise/services and assist other departments as required.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure. Must be flexible for evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled settings.
