Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer at our Richardson store, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and conduct classes using our proven curriculum, ensuring safety and satisfaction while driving sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain all training paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
- Ensure safe, clean training areas; handle sick/injured pets immediately.
- Collaborate across departments, recommend merchandise, and recognize team contributions.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. Must thrive under pressure, stay organized, and flex for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and pet handling in a dynamic environment.
