Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Richfield, Minnesota, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service in a fast-paced store setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, addressing concerns promptly.
- Sell training classes proactively and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain accurate paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Serve as training expert for store associates and recognize sales contributions.
- Handle pet emergencies, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience
- PetSmart Training Instructor Course accreditation
- Computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills
- Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays
Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle pets in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair exposure.
