Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, upholds company values, and drives pet parent engagement. You'll educate on training benefits, conduct classes per curriculum, and ensure safety in a fun, pet-filled environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is key in this dynamic retail role.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage pet parents via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns and sell classes.
- Educate on full training curriculum and act as store expert.
- Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend products, and assist other departments.
- Recognize team contributions and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking 1-2 years retail/customer service experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50lbs+, standing/walking, pet handling in moderate-noise, pet-hair environments. Depth perception and team lifting required.
