Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and drives sales of our proven curriculum. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, ensuring safe, fun environments while upholding our mission to do Anything for Pets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead training classes, manage pet parent interactions, and resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell classes and merchandise; educate on full curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, schedules, and clean training areas; ensure safety for pets/people.
- Recognize team contributions; assist other departments as needed.
- Handle sick/injured pets, transport to vet if required; follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail/customer service experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure. Must lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Exposure to pets, noise, and wet environments common.
