Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and drives sales while upholding our vision. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, ensuring safe, fun classes that build pet-parent bonds and boost store success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead training sessions following PetSmart curriculum, prioritizing safety for pets and people.
- Actively sell classes, recommend merchandise, and resolve pet parent concerns.
- Maintain paperwork, schedules, clean training areas, and educate store associates on training benefits.
- Handle emergencies like sick pets, assist other departments, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise. Flexible scheduling required.
