Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision. Actively sell classes, manage sessions, and ensure safety in a dynamic store environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is key in this customer-focused role.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage pet parents via phone, in-person, or online to sell and deliver training classes.
• Maintain paperwork, schedule sessions, and keep training areas clean/safe.
• Educate associates as training expert and recognize sales contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
• Follow policies, participate in recognition culture.

Experience & Skills

Require 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair environments.
