Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and drives class enrollment. You'll uphold our vision by providing expert instruction, ensuring safety, and contributing to store success in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage pet parents via phone, in-person, or online to manage experiences and resolve concerns.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes while promoting curriculum benefits.
- Maintain all training paperwork, cleanliness, and a safe environment.
- Educate store associates as the pet training expert and recognize sales contributions.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and follow policies.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, organizational skills, and strong communication are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
