Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments while contributing to a culture of belonging.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding pet parent experiences and resolve concerns across channels.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes per company guidelines.
- Maintain all training paperwork and educate store associates as SME.
- Ensure safety in training areas, respond to sick/injured pets, and recommend merchandise.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, and participate in recognition programs.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
