Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in our Rochester, NH store, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering expert training services aligned with PetSmart's proven curriculum. This role combines animal care, customer service, and sales to foster positive experiences and drive training program success.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, addressing concerns and delivering training outcomes.
• Actively promote and sell training classes while educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes, and ensure a safe, clean environment for pets and people.
• Recognize associate contributions, handle pet emergencies like vet transport, and cross-sell merchandise/services.
• Educate store team as pet training expert and support other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Must thrive under pressure, handle 50+ lb lifts, and work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include standing, bending, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet areas.
