Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers exceptional training experiences, educates pet parents, and drives sales of our proven curriculum. This role combines animal expertise, customer engagement, and retail operations in a dynamic pet retail setting. You'll ensure safe, positive outcomes for pets and people while contributing to store success.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage pet parents via phone, in-person, or online to sell and deliver training classes.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedules, and areas for cleanliness/safety.
• Educate associates as subject matter expert and recognize sales contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets promptly, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
• Uphold company policies, participate in recognition culture, and create safe class environments.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
