Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. Based in Saginaw, MI, this role involves in-person, phone, and online interactions to promote and conduct classes using our proven curriculum, ensuring safe, fun environments for pets and people.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage pet parents to sell and schedule training classes across channels.
• Lead classes, maintain paperwork, and ensure area safety/cleanliness.
• Handle pet parent concerns, educate on curriculum benefits, and act as store expert.
• Recognize team sales efforts and assist other departments as needed.
• Respond to sick/injured pets and recommend merchandise/services.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. Thrive under pressure with organizational skills and schedule flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a dynamic store environment.
