Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, upholds company values, and actively promotes our curriculum. You'll engage pet parents in-store, online, or by phone, ensuring safe, fun classes while driving sales and pet welfare.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences and resolve concerns across channels.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes per company guidelines.
- Educate on curriculum benefits and serve as store training expert.
- Maintain paperwork, cleanliness, and safety in training areas.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend services, and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure required. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a dynamic retail environment.
