Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Saint Joseph, Missouri, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell our curriculum while ensuring safety and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits across channels.
- Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Educate store associates as training expert and recognize sales contributions.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend services, and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience
- PetSmart Training Instructor Course accreditation
- Computer proficiency, strong communication, organization
- Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays
Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle pets in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair exposure.
