Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote classes, ensure safety, and drive sales while fostering a welcoming store environment. This role demands energy, pet passion, and customer focus in a dynamic retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct training classes via phone, in-person, or online, prioritizing pet parent satisfaction.
• Proactively sell and schedule classes, educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain clean, safe training areas and handle pet health emergencies.
• Manage paperwork, recognize associate contributions, and cross-train team members.
• Recommend merchandise and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Excel with strong communication, organization, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise environment. Flexible scheduling essential.
