Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. Based in San Antonio, Texas, you'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, selling classes and ensuring safe, fun sessions that build lasting relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training classes following PetSmart curriculum while prioritizing pet parent satisfaction and outcomes.
• Actively promote and sell training programs, educating on benefits across all channels.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, schedules, and a clean, safe training environment.
• Handle sick/injured pets promptly, collaborate across departments, and recognize team sales efforts.
• Follow company policies, participate in recognition culture, and recommend merchandise/services.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and schedule flexibility are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
