Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision. Actively promote and conduct classes using our proven curriculum, ensuring safe, fun environments while driving sales and exceptional service across in-store, phone, and online channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage pet parents to sell and schedule training classes, addressing concerns via phone, in-person, or online.
• Lead classes creating safe spaces, maintaining clean training areas, and handling sick/injured pets promptly.
• Educate associates as training expert, manage paperwork, and recommend merchandise/services.
• Assist other departments, follow policies, and contribute to team recognition.

Experience & Skills

Requires 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair environments.
