Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments while contributing to store success.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences and resolve concerns across channels.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes per company guidelines.
• Maintain all training paperwork and educate associates as the local expert.
• Ensure safety in training areas, respond to sick/injured pets, and recommend merchandise.
• Assist other departments, follow policies, and participate in recognition programs.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and schedule flexibility are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and handling live animals in a dynamic pet environment.
