Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision. Actively promote classes, ensure safety, and drive sales while working flexibly in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage pet parents via phone, in-person, or online to sell and deliver training classes.
- Maintain paperwork, schedule sessions, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
- Educate associates as training expert and recognize sales contributions.
- Follow policies, participate in recognition culture.
Experience & Skills
Requires 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals in moderate noise/wet environments.
