Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer at our San Antonio location, you'll engage pet parents and their furry friends, delivering positive reinforcement training based on PetSmart's proven curriculum. This role combines education, sales, and hands-on pet care to foster lifelong bonds between pets and families while upholding our mission, values, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead in-person, phone, and online training sessions, ensuring exceptional pet parent experiences and outcomes.
• Actively promote and sell group/private classes, educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, schedules, and a clean, safe training area.
• Serve as store expert, training associates and recognizing sales contributions.
• Handle emergencies like sick pets, recommend services/merchandise, and assist other departments.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail/customer service experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. Thrive under pressure with organizational skills, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs in a pet-filled environment. Passion for animals and positive reinforcement training required.
