Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in San Antonio, Texas, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive reinforcement training per PetSmart's proven curriculum. Actively promote classes, ensure safety, and drive sales while upholding our mission. This dynamic role suits animal lovers with retail experience, offering flexibility across evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead pet training sessions, managing pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online.
- Proactively sell and schedule classes, educating on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, cleanliness, and a safe training environment.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend services, and assist other departments.
- Recognize team contributions and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organization, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair environments.
