Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in our San Carlos, California store, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. Actively promote and sell training services, ensuring safe, clean environments and exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; respond to concerns.
- Sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Recognize associates for training sales and assist other departments.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and follow company policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, pressure-handling ability, flexible scheduling, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
