Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision. Based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, you'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is key in this dynamic role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences and training outcomes across channels.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes per company guidelines.
- Maintain paperwork, cleanliness, and safety in training areas.
- Educate associates as pet training expert and recognize contributions.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise. Passion for animals and organizational skills essential.
