Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean training spaces while collaborating across departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences and resolve concerns via phone, in-person, or online.
• Actively promote and sell pet training classes and related merchandise.
• Deliver training per PetSmart curriculum, scheduling classes to meet expectations.
• Maintain paperwork, training areas, and store safety; handle pet emergencies including vet transport.
• Educate associates as training expert and recognize contributions to sales.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. Thrive under pressure with organizational skills and schedule flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a dynamic retail setting.
