Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers expert training services, engages pet parents, and drives sales of our proven curriculum. This role combines hands-on pet interaction, customer education, and store collaboration to ensure positive outcomes for pets and people alike. Key Responsibilities

• Lead training classes, ensuring safe, positive experiences for pets and parents.
• Actively sell classes via in-store, phone, and online channels.
• Handle pet parent inquiries, concerns, and outcomes professionally.
• Maintain paperwork, schedules, and clean training areas.
• Recognize team contributions and assist other departments as needed.
• Respond to sick/injured pets with immediate action, including vet transport.

Experience & Skills

Requires 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/animals. Flexible scheduling for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
