Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in our Santa Barbara, CA store, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and satisfaction in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Drive sales of training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain accurate paperwork, schedules, and clean training areas.
- Create safe environments for classes; handle sick/injured pets immediately.
- Collaborate with associates, recommend merchandise, and participate in recognition culture.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
