Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer engages pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, and values. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes; educate on full curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and store cleanliness; create safe class environments.
• Recognize team contributions, assist other departments, and handle sick/injured pets.
• Recommend merchandise/services and participate in our culture of Belonging.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Must handle pressure, lift 50+ lbs, and work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include standing, bending, pet handling in moderate-noise, pet-hair environments.
