Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. Based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, you'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, selling classes and ensuring safe, fun environments for pets and people.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead training sessions following PetSmart curriculum while prioritizing pet parent satisfaction.
- Actively promote and sell training programs across channels.
- Maintain records, schedules, and cleanliness in training areas.
- Handle emergencies like sick pets, collaborating with vets as needed.
- Cross-train associates and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Strong communication, organization, and flexibility for evenings/weekends are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
