Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Saugus, Massachusetts, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; address concerns promptly.
- Sell training classes proactively in-store, phone, and online; educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes per company guidelines, and keep areas clean/safe.
- Handle sick/injured pets immediately, including vet transport if needed; recommend products/services.
- Train store associates on pet training, recognize sales contributions, and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Must handle pressure, lift 50+ lbs, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include standing, bending, and pet exposure in a moderate-noise environment.
