Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer at our Scarborough, ME store, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to flex their training expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training sessions over phone, in-person, or online, managing pet parent outcomes and concerns.
• Drive sales of training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain paperwork, schedules, and a clean, safe training environment.
• Serve as training expert, recognizing associates and assisting other departments.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure essential. Must lift 50lbs, handle pets/animals, and work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include standing, stooping, and moderate noise exposure.
