Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer at our Scarborough location, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell our curriculum-based classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes, and keep areas clean/safe.
• Serve as training expert, educating associates and recognizing sales contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Must thrive under pressure, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Exposure to pets, moderate noise, and wet environments common.
