Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer at our Schaumburg store, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Accredited instructors like you educate on our curriculum, sell classes, and ensure safety, while flexing into other store duties. Ideal for animal lovers with retail savvy seeking flexible, rewarding work.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pet training classes, managing pet parent interactions via phone, in-person, or online.
• Actively sell and schedule classes, educating on full curriculum benefits.
• Maintain paperwork, cleanliness, and safety in training areas; handle sick/injured pets promptly.
• Serve as store training expert, recognizing associate sales efforts.
• Recommend merchandise/services and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Strong communication, organization, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a dynamic store environment.
