Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences using our proven curriculum. You'll engage pet parents, sell classes, ensure safety, and act as the store's training expert. This dynamic role combines animal care, education, sales, and teamwork in a fun pet retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training classes, managing pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online.
• Actively promote and sell training programs while educating on benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedules, and clean/safe environments.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend services, and assist other departments.
• Recognize team contributions and follow company policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise. Organizational skills and composure under pressure are essential.
