Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer at our Secaucus location, you'll engage pet parents and their furry companions, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and conduct classes using our proven curriculum while ensuring safety and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
- Drive sales of training classes and related merchandise across channels.
- Maintain accurate paperwork, schedules, and a clean, safe training environment.
- Educate store associates as the pet training expert and recognize top performers.
- Respond to pet health issues, including vet transport if needed, and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends are essential. Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and handle live animals in a dynamic store environment required.
