Role Overview

PetSmart Pet Trainers deliver expert training services, engage pet parents, and drive positive outcomes using our proven curriculum. This dynamic role combines hands-on pet interaction, sales, education, and store support in a fast-paced retail environment. Key Responsibilities

• Lead engaging training classes, ensuring safety for pets and people while maintaining clean areas.
• Actively sell classes via phone, in-store, and online; educate on curriculum benefits.
• Manage pet parent interactions, resolve concerns, and handle sick/injured pets promptly.
• Schedule classes, complete paperwork, and serve as training expert for store associates.
• Recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and uphold company policies.

Experience & Skills

Requires 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure are essential. Must handle physical demands: lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, exposure to pets/noise. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays needed.
