Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success while working flexibly across evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Physical Demands

Stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair. Depth perception required; reasonable accommodations available.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences and resolve concerns across channels.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes per company guidelines.
• Maintain paperwork, cleanliness, and safe environments for classes.
• Educate associates as training expert and recognize sales contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and follow policies.

Experience & Skills

Seeking 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication. Passion for pets and sales drive success.
