Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, upholds company values, and actively engages pet parents. You'll educate on training benefits, conduct classes per curriculum, and ensure safe, clean environments while contributing to store success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell training classes and related merchandise/services.
- Maintain all training paperwork, schedules, and areas for cleanliness/safety.
- Educate associates as training expert and recognize sales contributions.
- Handle sick/injured pets, transport to vet if needed, and assist other departments.
- Participate in Belonging culture and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, animal exposure, and moderate noise.
