Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers exceptional training experiences, engaging pet parents and pets while upholding our vision, mission, and values. You'll actively promote and sell our proven training curriculum, ensuring safe, positive outcomes in a dynamic retail setting at our Spokane South Hill location.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, addressing concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes, and keep areas clean and safe.
• Serve as training expert for store associates, recognizing their sales contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and schedule flexibility are essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet environments.
