Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and drives sales of our proven curriculum. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, ensure safety, and collaborate across departments to uphold our mission of exceptional pet care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead training classes, managing pet parent experiences and outcomes across channels.
- Actively sell classes and merchandise while educating on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, schedules, and a clean, safe training environment.
- Handle sick/injured pets, assist other departments, and recognize team contributions.
- Follow all policies to foster a supportive store culture.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and schedule flexibility are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
